Text-Aisle — Emmanuelle Martin's creation | Sinha Danse
Text-Aisle is part of a research initiative that fosters a dialogue between contemporary dance and Indian dance, in a spirit of openness, attentiveness, and shared exploration. The project is aimed at curious, sensitive, and committed artists who are comfortable with the intersection of performing arts languages and with a collaborative creative process.
Emmanuelle Martin develops a multidisciplinary choreographic style, driven by a dramaturgy inspired by the language of cinema. Her hybrid movement language draws on contemporary dance, urban dance, and classical Indian dance, and pays homage to ancestral knowledge, with a focus on the interconnectedness of all living things, diversity, and ecology.
